Raiders' Chandler Jones posts video filled with wild accusations

Raiders star Chandler Jones continued his troubling social media activity Thursday morning with a lengthy video post.

The 25-minute Instagram Live that Jones posted on X (formerly Twitter) ends with him crying and talking about Raiders coach Josh McDaniels and former teammate Aaron Hernandez.

“Y’all don’t know what Josh McDaniels really did to Aaron Hernandez. … Y’all thought Aaron Hernandez killed himself in jail,” Jones said, breaking down and then cutting off the stream.

Jones and Hernandez were Patriots teammates while McDaniels was the team’s offensive coordinator.

Hernandez killed himself in prison in 2017 after being convicted of murder.

Jones has gone on a series of rants both on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram in recent weeks as he has been away from the Raiders.

Most recently, Jones claimed he was forced into a mental hospital and injected with an unknown substance by the Las Vegas Fire Department.

Thursday’s video starts in darkness with Jones saying he was outside his Las Vegas home.

“I’m very sane,” said Jones, 33. “I just want to play for the Raiders.”

Jones repeatedly has made bizarre claims about former Cardinals teammate Larry Fitzgerald, which continued in Thursday’s video post.

“I think it’s these owners,” Jones said. “I don’t know what’s going on. Larry, whatever s—t he got going on, he’s being controlled by somebody. And I think whenever n—s retire — Larry, Tom Brady, Kobe Bryant — whenever they retire from what they are doing, something happens to them somehow.”

What seemingly started as a dispute between player and team — with Jones complaining about a lack of gym access earlier this month — has devolved into something much more concerning.

Jones went on to claim players were being injected with fluoride and that CTE “doesn’t exist.”

In a follow-up tweet, Jones said he would be off social media for a while and would take down the video at noon.

Jones is an 11-year veteran who previously played for the Cardinals and Raiders.
