Luckily, Tiger Woods is a Yankees fan.
The golf star’s niece, Cheyenne Woods, is engaged to Yankees center fielder Aaron Hicks.
Cheyenne, who’s also a pro golfer, announced the news in an Instagram post that showed off her new diamond ring.
“YESSS to forever with my best friend and my [heart],” Woods wrote alongside photos from the couple’s engagement. She noted that Hicks got down on one knee on Oct. 21.
He replied to the photo, writing, “You will forever have my [heart].”
The outfielder popped the question a few weeks after the Yankees fell to the rival Red Sox, 6-2, in the AL Wild Card game.
The newly engaged couple received a slew of celebratory messages from fellow athletes and social media stars — including Paige Spiranac, who wrote, “Congratulations! So happy for you both!”
Woods and Hicks first met in early 2020, when she interviewed the MLB star on her podcast, “Birdies Not BS.” They began dating in the spring of that year.
Woods caddied for her future husband in January at the Diamond Resorts Tournament Of Champions in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
Woods played LPGA and Symetra Tour events throughout 2021, while taking on a variety of television roles as an analyst and on-site reporter.
Her uncle has not publicly reacted to the engagement news. Woods is still recovering from serious injuries to his right leg, which required surgery after a car crash in February.
Hicks played just 32 games for the Yankees this year before undergoing wrist surgery in May.
